16th annual Ammonoosuc Amble

The Ammonoosuc Amble is a 5-mile run/walk through the rolling hills of northern New Hampshire. The USA Track & Field sanctioned course* features a total elevation change of 333 feet before returning to the start/finish line at Profile School in Bethlehem, New Hampshire The average gradient from the start line to the highest point on the course is a mild 3.1%.

The course is paved except for ¾ of a mile of dirt road. The event is not traffic controlled, however 92% of the course is run on the left side of the road and traffic in the area is minimal. There are water points on the course. Timing will be provided by Bay State Race Services. The results are posted on:

The Amble is known for its friendly, family-oriented atmosphere and spectacular White Mountains setting.  It features beautiful scenery, complete with impressive New England stone walls, open fields and mountain views.
